Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit is a popular Indian actress, best recognized for her roles in the films Beta Saajan and Hum Aapke Hain Koun. In the late 80s the actress began her acting career. She became popular with the role of Tezaab which she played with an established actor Anil Kapooor. In her next film Dil, Aamir Khan appeared as well. In her early years she began developing her skills at a young age. As a teen, she attempted acting, however most films she attempted to make did not succeed. She found fame and became one of India's top movie actresses. Following her wedding, she took a short absence from acting prior to returning. In recent times, she was in a prominent part as a character in Gulaab Gang. The film focused on the struggles of women across India. Dixit has been nominated for the fifteen Filmfare Awards, out of which she won eight. The actress was also honoured with the Padma Shri the fourth highest civilian award in India. The award was also given to her by the social sector.
