MANUEL-TURIZO
Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. He's made major inroads globally to Latin pop. Una Lady Como Tu from 2016 won an Colombian Kids Choice Award as the most popular Song in 2017. In 2017, he dropped ADN, his first long-player to La Industria Inc. in Medellin. The album climbed to number 8 in the Top Latin Albums Chart. In the following year, he teamed up with Ozuna to record Vaina Loca that climbed to number five on the chart of Top Latin Albums. In 2020, he collaborated with Noriel for Mala Influencia and released the album Dopamina in the following year. In 2021, he also performed the duet for TINI's smash streaming single Maldita Foto. An album release in 2023 featuring the mega-hit La Bachata. Turizo was brought up within a musical family, because both his mother and older brother are professional musicians. In his interviews, he's described the music he plays as a compulsory activity. He was taught how to play the guitar, saxophone ukulele, and piano as a young child. Although his first career choice was that of an animal veterinarian, his brother Julian encouraged him to start studying singing with an instructor in Cuban. The lessons transformed his life forever.
