Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson is the daughter of British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby (born in Paris) and Chris Watson (born in Paris). At the age five she moved from London to Oxfordshire where she attended the Dragon School. Emma was just six when she realized she wanted to become an actress. She studied for a number of years at Stagecoach Theatre Arts, a Part-time theatre school located in Oxford where she was taught acting and singing. As early as age ten, she took part as the lead in a number of Stagecoach School plays and productions. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone is the film from 2001 adaption from J.K. Rowling's bestselling book was cast in 1999. Emma was discovered by agents through their Oxford teacher. David Heyman, the producer of Harry Potter Harry Potter's Sorcerer's Stone, and Ron Weasley told Emma after the eight auditions that she'd been chosen for these roles. Emma was chosen to play alongside Daniel Radcliffe Rupert Grint and Rupert Grint. Emma's debut film coincided with the release Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2002). The film beat all previous records in terms of its opening and weekend ticket revenues, and was the highest-grossing film of 2001. The film received praise from experts, and also by the performances of its three young stars. The Daily Telegraph praised Emma for her outstanding performance. Emma's performance received nominations and later won awards for the film.
