Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is an Mexican singer and musician born into a family of musicians. Growing up she was influenced by the classical music of her parents, boleros as well as the traditional romantic, ranchero, as well as romance ballads. Ana is a fan of tangos. Also, she loves operas as well as any theatrical performance. When she was a child, her mother would sing with her, she started more serious training in singing at 16 under the guidance of renown Mexican tenor FlavioBecerra. The School of Music of Guadalajara University and the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico furthered her education in music. As a student and as a young professional in Mexico City and Guadalajara she was a member of several chamber ensembles and choruses. After 2000, she emigrated back to the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then, in 2007, she returned to her home in southern California. She has performed solo Latin American music for private events and also as part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. Ana is involved in a variety of local initiatives and is a teacher as well as a performer due to her enthusiasm for art and music. Ana was a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is now a teacher at the Performance Loft. Ana appreciates having the chance to share her love and love for old-fashioned Latin American songs with others and, in the process hopes to inspire a passion particularly among the younger generation to keep this tradition alive.Viva Mexico!
